L.A. Zoo Condor Rescue Zone
Harvest Moon teamed with Lexington and the Los Angeles Zoo to create an interactive learning experience. The Condor Recovery Center is a space where visitors to the Zoo can learn about the plight of the California Condor. Though still endangered, recent efforts have begun to pay off; there were only 18 of these birds at one time, but after 2 decades of work, their numbers are up, and zoo chicks are being introduced into parts of California and Mexico.
Harvest Moon designed and produced a touch screen/joystick station with live feeds looking into the condor isolation cages. Nearly a hundred video clips take you from A to Z on California Condors, highlighting the Zoo’s efforts to bring them back from the brink of extinction.
